Enrichment

I used to hate reading books, but I later discovered the wisdom contained in many books – and the many painful lessons that could have been avoided through learning from others’ experiences instead of figuring things out myself that would have costed me more time, energy and opportunities.

Of course, theory means nothing without action. When I started practising what I read and learn, I grew wiser, my life started transforming and my character took shape.

I hope you’d find joy in reading the following books just as I did.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Book Title What I learnt
RICH DAD, POOR DAD
by Robert T. Kiyosaki
This book awakened me to entrepreneurship and investing. It inspired me to move from being an employee to an entrepreneur and investor.
THE BUSINESS OF THE 21st CENTURY
by Robert T. Kiyosaki
This is a book that resonated with what I experienced as a corporate banker back then. Most business models ain’t working as well anymore and this book provides insights on the pros and cons of various business models.
RICH WOMAN
by Kim Kiyosaki
This woman is such an inspiration! Although she is the wife of Robert Kiyosaki, she owns more than 4000 apartments herself. I’ve met her in person before and I will always remember what she taught – A MAN IS NOT YOUR FINANCIAL PLAN – and I cannot agree more. When she is alongside Robert, she graciously lets him lead but when she’s on her own, she is successful in her own right.
THE 21 IRREFUTABLE LAWS OF LEADERSHIP
by John C. Maxwell
I learnt so much from him on leadership! Made me realise that most of the “bosses” in corporates have no leadership whatsoever and I do not want to ever be like them. Learning the 21 irrefutable laws of leadership has been invaluable to my career and life.
MONEY MASTER THE GAME:
7 steps to Financial Freedom

by Tony Robbins
If I had read this book earlier, I could have avoided many costly mistakes! Although Tony is neither an economist nor financial markets guru, he has access to some of the wealthiest people such as Ray Dalio, and with a gift for training people, he is able to explain complex principles simply in this book that anyone can understand and apply. He is one of my favourite coaches, and I love his effectiveness in transforming lives.
SECRETS OF THE MILLIONAIRE MIND
by T. Harv Eker
Harv is such a legendary marketer and entrepreneur to learn from. I have been mentored by him and his team of trainers in financial management, marketing, networking, negotiation, copywriting, training and personal development that has been priceless to my life. This book conditions our mind and actions to be on the path to become a millionaire.
LITTLE VOICE MASTERY
by Blair Singer
Blair is one of my beloved mentor and coach. He is a respected trainer of trainers and I learnt to not only polish my craft as a trainer and public speaker, but to also master the little voice that distracts me from staying focused.
START WITH WHY
by Simon Sinek
Whoever who plans to take the road less travelled or become an entrepreneur should always have a strong “WHY”. Money is never the ultimate driving force. It’s the purpose that’s much bigger than that, that will keep you going when the going gets tough.
THE FOUR AGREEMENTS
by Don Miguel Ruiz
This book gave me four very good guiding principles in life:
1) Be impeccable with your word
2) Don’t take anything personally
3) Don’t make assumptions
4) Always do your best
THE SECRET
by Rhonda Byrne
This book contains wisdom from modern-day teachers who have used it to achieve health, wealth, and happiness. I learnt the power of thoughts, manifestation and importance of gratitude for everything we have.

HOLISTIC HEALTH

by John Wong C.W.
John’s book opened my mind to the endless possibilities that we can create for ourselves when we believe in our innate healing power. I remain grateful to John for being my mentor for the last 8 years and for igniting my passion in the holistic industry. He is a rare talent with his scientific bio-chemistry background and gift in holistic metaphysical solutions. Today, he is not only my coach and mentor, but a business partner that I respect and a friend that I count on.

by Life Science Publishing
Authored by D. Gary Young who has passed on, this book will always be my #1 go-to guide for references on essential oils. Gary is such a revolutionary legend in the modern aromatherapy industry that I will always miss and be grateful to. His dedication, tenacity and resilience in educating the world and producing top-grade essential oils till the day he pass on, has been and will always be an inspiration to me.

by Karol K. Truman
I work with people from all walks of life and this book never fails to amaze me when I link their physical complaints to the emotional challenges that they are going through.
HEAL YOUR BODY
by Louise Hay
This is a handy guide on mental causes for physical illness and the metaphysical way to overcome them.
THE CHEMISTRY OF ESSENTIAL OILS MADE SIMPLE

This book contains all the science behind the power of essential oils. If you are a serious aromatherapy practitioner and scientifically inclined, I highly recommend this book.
